  • Notes: This rare original Dallas Sunday comic by Ron Harris is based on the hit prime time soap opera. The piece prominently features the villainous oil tycoon J.R. Ewing in his trademark flowered cowboy hat, whose morally upright younger brother Bobby has come to him for help.

The comic strip was produced at a time of peak popularity for the television series, which was the top rated show in the U.S., and remains one of the most popular TV series of all time. Harris notably drew the Star Trek newspaper comic simultaneously to his work on the Dallas strip.
