Color chalks on black wove paper. 317x245 mm; 12 1/2x9 3/4 inches. Signed in chalk, lower right recto. Circa 1965-70.

Provenance: Private collection, Chicago.

Cadmus made numerous studies for his acrylic painting of David and Goliath, 1971, which featured a semi-nude seated portrait of his lover and favorite model, Jon Anderson, straddled over a self-portrait of the artist among accoutrements of the studio.
