István Irsai was a Hungarian-born Israeli architect and graphic designer. He began his career in graphic design and architecture in Budapest, and lived for several years in Palestine where he designed theater stage sets, Bauhaus-style houses, and created a Hebrew font called 'Haim.' After escaping a concentration camp in 1944, he settled in Israel, where he designed posters for companies such as Modiano and Tungsram, as well as for the Israeli state. Buch, June 1, 1934 p. 162.
