Filmco was a Los Angeles based erotic studio that produced by photographs and films. The studio was founded by Hal Roth (1946 - ), who was a performer for Zenith Films, appearing under the name Scot Arden. During this period Roth became friends with Bob Mizer. Inspired by Mizer, Roth founded Halco Studios, through which he sold sets of black and white photographs as well as 8mm films he made in his apartment. Halco was raided by the Los Angeles police department around 1976, and after this Roth changed the name of his company, operating into the late-1990s.
