  • Notes: Erich Godal was a German artist, cartoonist, and illustrator known for his satirical wit and distinctive artistic style. Born in Berlin, he rose to prominence during the 1920s and 1930s, contributing to leading German publications with works that combined humor and social commentary. Godal emigrated to the United States in the 1930s, where he continued his career as an illustrator and cartoonist for American periodicals.
