The covers utilize photomontage, illustration, color printing, photography, type design and layout. The publications were executed for politically active and cultural German printing houses in Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich, Potsdam, Vienna, Leipzig, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Baden-Baden and one or two from Prague and Zürich, including Malik, Bruno Cassirer, Societäts-Verlag, Paul Zsolnay, Georg Müller, Sieben Stäbe, S. Fischer, Adalbert Schultz, and others. See Jürgen Holstein, The Book Cover in the Weimar Republic. Taschen, 2015.
