  • Notes: Sattler's well-known and haunting Art Nouveau Dance of Death images were first shown in the 1893 Berlin salon and were first published as photogravures in 1894. This second, preferred edition with the plates in heliogravure, best show their detail, color, and composition. Oppermann 1217.
