  • Notes: Charles B. Slackman has contributed to major magazines such as American Heritage, MAD, and Playboy, and illustrated books by authors like Shirley Jackson and Kurt Vonnegut. Known for his precise pen work with detailed hatching and cross-hatching, Slackman also taught at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He co-led workshops with R.O. Blechman, forming a distinctive duo with contrasting styles.
