  • Notes: - John Speed; and Pieter Van den Keere, engraver. America. Hand-colored miniature engraved map of the Americas with California as an island. 4x6¼ inches sheet size, wide margins, English text on verso; unobtrusive repair at lower edge but generally excellent. London, 1665.

    - Alain Manesson Mallet. Nouveau Continent Avec Plusieurs Isles. Miniature hand-colored engraved map of the Americas with California as an island and decorative sailing ships within a circular hemisphere. 7¾x5 inches sheet size, wide margins; a few spots of foxing, else very nice. Frankfurt, circa 1686.

    - Mercator/Hondius.
    America Noviter Delineata. Engraved map of the Americas with attractive carto-ornamentation. 7¾x10 inches sheet size, ample margins, blank verso; archivally lined on verso with thin tissue, repairing small damage at lower left. Amsterdam, 1630 or after.

    -Johannes Janssonius; and Philip Cluver. Americae Descriptio. Double-page engraved map of the Americas with an elongated northwestern continent. 7½x10½ inches sheet size, wide margins, blank verso; small separation at lower center fold, else fine. Amsterdam,1661.

    -Herman Moll. America. Double-page engraved map of the Americas with California as an island. 13x9¼ inches sheet size, wide margins; original hand-color in outline; minor age toning, manuscript page number at lower left. London, circa 1730.

    -Antonio Zatta. L'America Divisa ne Suoi Principali Stati. Double-page engraved map of the Americas and New Zealand. 15x20 inches sheet size, wide margins; original hand-color in outline; dampstain at lower edge. Venice, 1776.
